Emerging Classical Artist Sponsorship – Royal College of Music (2010)
HTSE helped provide support to young pianist David Malusa through several phases of his development over the period 2010-2011. While in his Masters in Music programme at the Royal College of Music (RCM), HTSE provided private practice facilities. We then provided financial sponsorship once Mr Maulsa was selected to enter the prestigious Artist Diploma Course at the RCM.
Late in 2010, Mr Malusa won the Jacques Samuel Intercollegiate Piano Competition, the result of which he gained the opportunity to perform a recital at Wigmore Hall. David's performance was recorded for live Wigmore Hall.
In November 2011, Mr Malusa had his debut at Wigmore Hall. In his review, reported Robert Beattie commented that "this was an outstanding debut from an up-and-coming young artist."
Following Mr Malusa's Wigmore Hall performance, HTSE provided him the opportunity for an audition with a Steinway artist.
Since then, Mr Malusa has played in a number of venues and across a number of countries.
